Day 186, 7/5/2013 - Eat, this morning, fresh squeezed grapefruit/orange juice and coffee. The monsoon of July 2013 continues in the Florida panhandle. It may keep us from the beach but it does not keep us from enjoying our meals and the people we will meet and see along our way. Lunch was at Panera where I had one of my usuals, healthy in the spinach power salad combined with comfort food of mac & cheese. Afternoon coffe & apple pie with my new friends, Becky and Alessandro. Alessandro traveled from Florence, Italy this week and will travel with Becky to her remote work assignment near Fairbanks, Alaska. He is excied about his new boots and sweatshirt and first trip to Alaska with girlfriend, Becky. Dinner was at Don Pedro's Mexican (interesting, in Texas it is mostly called Tex-Mex).
Pray, I prayed for safety as we traveled on the watery, traffic intense roads. Prayers were answered as we made it to and from all of our destinations safely. Joy, my joy was in meeting and spending time with new friends, Becky and Alessandro. We enjoyed conversing in English and Italian. The meaning of words from Italian to English. One in particular, Alessandro, the Italian says, "Why not?" and the Americans say, "Sure." So next time someone asks me if I would like to do something, I may respond, "Why not?"
