Day 184, 7/3/2013 - Eat, started the day with a wonderful spread of room service that was included in my hotel package. My friend had oatmeal and I had the French Toast. Very early at 5:30 a.m. but delicious. Lunch was in Destin at one of my favorite places, The Back Porch. I had the grouper sandwich and we shared the orange cake for dessert, like having an orange dream bar. Later at the candy shop we were mesmerized by the taffy pull machine. Dinner, Anne prepared eggs combined with Thai rice, fresh oven roasted tomatoes, lima beans and cucumbers, with a cold lentil salad. A wonderful blend of fresh flavors to finish off my first day on vacation. Pray, I prayed for a safe, uneventful flight. Prayer answered and although it was a very rainy day, flight and landing were good. Joy, my joy was in seeing and being with my dear freind, Anne. Friends for over 30 years we have no trouble picking up where we left off. I look forward to our time together for the next week. We have learned through the years, even on our separate paths, to follow our hearts. Spending time with my dear friend always centers me so that I can once again focus on that ultimate goal. As long as I do that, I will indeed find joy in every day.
