Day 190, 7/9/2013 - Eat, breakfast was light with blueberries and Chai Latte protein drink. We set out for the airport and decided to have lunch at One 20, a Modern Bistro, owned and started by a local chef, Dan Pettis. We decided on Chef's Loaded Mac 'n Cheese (grilled chicken, bacon, cheeses, cream, spinach, sour cream) and the daily feature, Pasta Carbonara. So much to eat, so little time and so good! When Mac & Cheese is that good, I hate to leave it behind, but alas, I was too full. Once back at DFW airport had some time to kill so stopped into T.G.I. Friday's for a drink worthy of a vacation umbrella, their new Hendrick's Cooler, muddled cucumer, lemon & lime juices, sour apple pucker and other flavors, quite refreshing. Dinner was at Texas Roadhouse before our Tuesday rehearsal.
Pray, prayers of thanksgiving for such a wonderful vacation and the ones who helped make it possible. Anne, for taking the time out of her schedule to drive me about and spend such quality time with me. The new friends I met along the way. Alys, for storing my car and getting me to and from the DFW airport. I am blessed with so many good friends. Joy, my joy is in the fact that I am able, physically and financially, to take a week long vacation. My heart is full!
