Day 162, 6/11/2013 - Eat, enjoyed my left over tortellini for lunch today. Did not have my usual Tuesday rehearsal so I went up to Plano to tend to my friend's watering needs. I drove by and stopped at a place I have been curious about, Sip & Savor. It is located in the Wells' homestead, a beautiful Queen Ann Victorian style home built in 1893 and still owned by the Wells family. The restaurateurs, John & Teresa, operate a fresh kitchen working with seasonal and local ingredients. I met John and he was so nice to show me around to the different dining rooms with custom built wine racks from Amish country, fireplace, etc. I may have not received as much "bang for your buck" as I might have elsewhere but the meal did not lack in quality! If you live in the area it is worth a visit, or check out their website at www.sipsavor.com. I chose the crab cakes and bruschetta trio with coconut cream pie for dessert. All were delicious.

Pray, continued prayers for all victims of the recent tornadoes in Oklahoma.  I know several who have family in Oklahoma and was reminded that I should continue to pray for these victims. Joy, my joy was in my dining experience at Sip & Savor. I continue to realize that I do not have to have a partner, spouse or date in order to dine at a fabulous restaurant.  I very much enjoyed my "table for one!"
